Scott M. Galetka is currently the Land Records Administrator/Land Information Officer for Bayfield County. He manages the Survey, Real Property Listing, Geographical Information Systems, UAV/UAS?Drone and Land Sales functions.

Before working in Bayfield County Scott was employed by Lincoln County as the GIS Project Coordinator and Land Information Officer from 2000 to 2007.
Prior to joining Lincoln County, Scott was part of a team that mapped above and below ground electrical utilities for Xcel energy in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. ,
Scott has served on the Wisconsin Land Information Association & Board of Directors, as Chair of the Education Committee and on the Land Information Officers Network executive committee. He served as the secretary on the Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordinating Council.
Scott has had a connection with Land Records since 1997 when he started to map and inventory gullies using GIS in Scott County MN on a summer internship. He respects GIS and Land Records community and it's very broad applications to help protect and manage the land we care about yet realizes the importance of the private ownership rights and the implications regulations have on them. Scott is an advocate on the public dispersal of land records data required and developed by local, regional, state and federal units of government so we all can fairly question and contest governments decisions.
